Pytanie o angielski (brytyjski)
Does it sound right:
These days classical artists are vital part of school curriculum. While some students like reading literature, others consider it as a waste of time. But even those who are keen on reading have some reservations to the list of books they are supposed to know.
In this situation, would it be better to take off well known writings and replace them with modern authors' works?

Close.
These days classical artists are A vital part of THE school curriculum. While some students like reading literature, others consider it a waste of time. But even those who are keen on reading have some reservations ABOUT the list of books they are supposed to know.
In this situation, would it be better to REMOVE well known writings and replace them with modern authors' works?
It could be a bit smoother, but I think this is OK.

@destination Some text, even if it's natural, doesn't sound so good. Text that sounds better and is easier to read is smoother.
E.g. as an extreme example:
The rat, which I spied yesterday for the first time, is climbing from the bottom, slowly, to the top of the pipe.
That reads badly. If I write it as:
The rat I first saw yesterday is slowly climbing up the pipe.
then if I read this out loud, it's easier to read, and sounds better.
Therefore: smoother.
