Hey dudes! What airline do you use inside your country? I've just found my Westjet airplane cost me a lot on my checked luggage....TAT

Unfortunately, most domestic airlines in Canada charge baggage fees for each piece of checked luggage.

On international flights, you usually get 1 or 2 checked bags free of charge, however for domestic flights you are normally charged for every checked bag. Sometimes you also get charged for checked bags for flights to the United States (for some reason airlines may treat these flights as domestic).

Edit: I should also mention that it sometimes depends on the ticket you purchase. If you purchase the cheapest ticket, you usually have to pay baggage fees on domestic flights. However, if you purchase the more expensive ticket options (like the ones that let you change/cancel your ticket without penalty), sometimes those tickets include 1 or 2 free checked bags. You still have to pay more for the ticket though, so it may not save you any money.
