I want to rephrase
“he has abilities of such and such”
into
“such and such abilities are ( ) by him”.
But is there any word appropriate for the blank above except for "had"?

Not really. It just sounnds unnatural. Is there any context for this question or was it something you were just wondering.

I need to write a sentence like
“It is unpredictable what properties the [chemical substance] has.”
but the problem is, the [chemical substance] and its explanation is too long and the verb “has” would go too far from the [chemical substance]. This is why I just wished I could write “what properties are had by the [chemical substance] ….” like sentence.
