milk and cream are different. Cream is produced from milk, and basically cream is thicker than milk. Please correct me if im wrong guyssss

@goguma23 no, basically we drink it than use it for cooking, but it's additional if we need that, because some foods or drinks contains it as an additional composition.

coconut milk = santan
milk = susu
There is an instant brand 'kara' or 'santan kara' in here. However, I don't know which brands are popularly used by people.
Usually, we only get the santan by buying the grated coconut from old coconut in traditional market, then adding water and squeezing it with the filter to get the result of santan(coconut milk) at home.
And yes, if you want to cook rendang, you should add the coconut milk.

Coconut milk: liquid
Coconut cream: thigh liquid/paste
Coconut powder: flour form

pure milk is only come from animal, so coconut milk is milk with coconut flavour, also coconut cream is cream with coconut flavour,and coconut powder is powder with coconut flavour

coconut milk mostly used for cooking such as rendang, soto, and else
coconut cream mostly are ice cream with coconut flavour
while coconut powder are waste from coconut after you drain its milk, mostly used for cooking too, like kremes, gepuk, or can be made into snack too.

In overseas, Santan can be found in difference form such as liquid, cream or powder. Basically those are instant products. They are used for cooking. You can find non instant one in any asian market
